I just used all four, so I can vouch for them working. BUT. If you don't have a data plan (read: unlimited internet access on your phone) you'll be charged like crazy for the download. If you have a data plan or don't mind paying $.03/kb, here's how it works. You pick what you want at Sprint's Digital Lounge (ringers only, not for calltones or wallpapers) and hit "buy with promo code". Type it in and you'll get a text message with a link. Just hit "Yes", then "Save". You'll be charged $2.50 on your next bill, but it will be credited back within two billing cycles. I don't know about the other three, but the first code expires on the 29th. If you use your computer to purchase them you can preview. I couldn't use the preview function on my cell. *shrug*

I hate fish, and I've maybe cooked it three times since the hubby and I moved in together. But since trying to go out to dinner on Valentine's Day is about as easy and enjoyable as drinking battery acid, I thought I'd make a nice dinner at home. Chicken for me, salmon for him. I have a recipe for chili lime salmon I'll use, and I have no idea wtf to serve with it. Any suggestions?

Halo 3 Limited Edition discs- info for people who bought scratched copies

Microsoft has to be kicking themselves for this, but because of bad packaging a LOT of people bought the $70 version of Halo 3 last night with badly scratched discs. The manuals weren't secure, and they bumped the discs loose. Microsoft will replace any scratched discs for free until December 31st, so here is what you need to know if you want to send yours back for replacement:

It's great and all that they're doing this, but I have two gripes. First off, after paying seventy bucks (plus tax!) for a video game they expect us to pay to ship the discs to them. It was their mistake, they ought to eat that cost in addition to the replacement. And second, after waiting for so long (and after talking about it every day for the last two months), my husband will have to wait another two or three weeks for the new disc to come. I call bullcrap! If you bought your copy from a large retailer like Best Buy (which we didn't), see if you can return it in store first.

Two weeks from now.

Here (hopefully) is a video of my brother throwing a match onto a squash he'd doused in lighter fluid at my request. He wanted to play with his new digital camera, and I wanted to play with uploading files via instant messenger. Damn, that was a long time ago. This was back when digital cameras used disks and cost like $600.
